David C. Tufts David joined The Gardner Firm because he is firmly committed to the representation and protection of working Americans. He is admitted to practice law in all the state courts and federal district courts in Alabama. He practices labor and employment law with an emphasis on representing labor unions, employees, and Taft-Hartley plans under the ERISA, LMRA, LMRDA, NLRA, and WARN Act. He is a member of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee. In law school, David’s legal training focused on labor and employment law. At Howard University School of Law, he was a Merit Fellows Scholar and won awards for his superior academic performance in alternative dispute resolution, equal employment law, labor law, and legal writing. During his final year in law school, he clerked for Mooney, Green, Baker & Saindon, P.C., a union-side labor law firm with a practice similar to that of The Gardner Firm. David grew up in Baltimore, MD, Birmingham, AL, and Washington, DC. He is married to Lucy Tufts of Huntsville, AL. When not working, they enjoy spending time with their family.
